[Kensoh Ogawa] Muchi Muchi Kyousei Event (Amagami)(C79)

I was considering doing Fukudahda - Soushisouai Note Nisatsume & [Fukudahda] Soushisouai Note Nisatsume but there are already some nicely decensored versions available, you can find HERE and HERE
This list is also in order in which I intend to work on them, of course it's not set in stone just the plan I have for right now.
Since this will certainly keep me busy for a while it is unlikely that I will be able to work on other requests in the near future, unless I think the request is really good.

  1. That is quite the list you've built up. I'll be especially looking forward to the Number2 since I did the editing for it. I'm a fan of his works. I'll be looking forward to all the Kensoh Ogawa works too as well as that other excellent manga by Tosh. Good luck with all that.

  2. Hello

I just discovered your work on Sankaku Channel, and the image I have traced back to you ^^ (You are to me your address in the last image)

I love that you have finally made a good manga and view and not overrun with censorship !

Your site has a section "Request" but I do not find your email address ...
You could give it to me ?
2.3 frames I should be editing, whether you agree of course ;)
I have read your payment, no worries of it !

    Thank you !

  3. Hi Kni, glad you enjoy my work. I don't post my email address to avoid spam. If you have a request you can simply post it in the comments section anywhere on the site. All comments are sent to my email so I will see it.

As it states in the request section, I don't accept payments. I work for free because I don't want to accept money for modifying someone else artwork without permission. I'll be the first person to admit what I'm doing is a violation of copyright laws.

So why do I do this?

If anything I wish for Japan to reevaluate an outdated, pointless censorship law which weakens the country's ability to be as competitive in the adult entertainment market. While normally I have a very high respect for laws, I don't for pointless ones. To me censoring something as wonder as sex is extremely offensive and repressive. Since it would be foolish of me to try to change the law of another country, I decensor with the hope that one day Japan removes the law itself.

Pardon my mini rant, but it's my blog so it's okay. :p

  5. While I know that "[Bosshi] Radical GoGo Baby!" wasn't on your list, did you think about doing it at all?

The only reason I'm asking this is because a new scan just came out not even two days ago, and it's higher resolution (~1120x1600), higher quality, etc. than the one that had been out for a while.

The previous one was just such a low resolution that it would have been pretty much impossible to decensor it at all without fucking up the quality.

    So... yeah.

    1. Thanks for pointing this out, not too often somebody releases a full color manga. I previously didn't have any plans for it since I didn't know about it. I've always liked Bosshi and the new scan is nice. I would like to do it just don't know when I'll get around to it.

  6. So, random blog request/suggestion:

In the "BY ARTIST & REQUEST SECTION" section up in the top right, could you also add a link to this page? This is mostly so we can keep up with which ones you've done, which new ones are on your list, etc.

And along those lines, could you cross out or otherwise mark which ones are done, and which one(s) you're working on whenever you are done with one?

If it's too much trouble, don't worry about it, just wanted to say something on a post that's actually related to this.

    1. I made a new page for the future projects, it has a link to this post since as far as I know I can't transfer this post with all the comments included. So this should make it easier for people to follow what is planned. Thanks for the input.

  7. Hey Belldandy,

I recently purchased two DOA doujinshi:
    http://doujinshi.mugimugi.org/book/451383/
    and the second part also.

The censoring is really light. Like in the preview images. I was wondering if you would be willing to decensor them. If you are up for it I can send you them. You can release them on your blog since I haven't bother uploading them onto any other websites yet. I don't know if it is also possible to get a translator?

    1. Feel free to send them so I can look at the scan quality and make a decision about it. Somebody would probably translate it once it's posted or in a worse-case I could try translating it myself. You can send a link of it to my backup email Belldandy100@gmail.com.

    2. I sent it. Check your e-mail!

  8. Like you, I decensor some stuff, from time to time and wondered why Love Selection was still censored (light censorship, slightly transparent, making it easy to redraw) but I realized the scan resolution was quitte low :/

Anyway, if you have a better version and need help, maybe we could collaborate one day ^^

NB: I release stuff here: catdragOn.wordpress.com even if I'm not as skilled as you (especially when I see your color pages or some redraws on pages with awful gray patterns...)

    1. Glad to hear about other people decensoring. There certainly are not enough of them out there. The resolution of Love Selection I have is 969x1400. I will probably increase the image size and then sharpen it a little to compensate for the somewhat small image size but it's certainly manageable. It doesn't really need it but it will help give me a little extra room to work with.

  9. I suppose it's manageable for you :D
Won't the gray patterns get blurry this way ? I already have issues dealing with them, so the least I need is a clear resolution to reproduce it easily or stamp it from neighboring regions...
I'm a beginner and this doujin by acid-head, for example, was a hell for me: http://catdrag0n.wordpress.com/2012/05/05/namis-hidden-sailing-diary-2-one-piece-doujin-by-acid-head-uncensored/
If you zoom in or look carfelly, you'll find some imperfections in the gray patterns on the uncensored zones, could'nt do any better :/

    1. What I would do in this situation is:

      1. First increase the image size and then apply a sharpen filter to reduce the blurriness from the image size increase. This would give more room to work with.

      2. White out the censored area, usually it's black bars so making it white gives you a clean slate to work on and I usually lasso the the area to minimize touching uncensored portions.

      3. Make a layer and draw in the lines you wish to see. By making a layer you don't have to worry about the gray patterns (I believe there are called tones) fill-in interfering with the lines. Using a tablet helps here with the pressure sensitivity to help the lines blend in better.

      4. Use the stamp tool for the tones. Usually, there is a very small area to sample from because you just want the tones and not anything else. To do this I create a new page and create, as best I can, a large pattern from copying a small area multiple times. You have to zoom in and find the repeating pattern in the tone and line it up each time you use the stamp tool. After a couple copies from a small sample area from the original page you can just start copying from the sample you created to make any size you want.

Once satisfied, you can sample your clean tone area and stamp it on to the original censored area. You'll have to line up the pattern again for it to fit, keeping the censored areas lassoed so that you minimize the effect on uncensored portions.

      5. Hopefully everything blends in. If not, then you can try re-stamping to remove a section that stands out or sometimes all you can do is move a part that doesn't blend in well to a different area. Alternatively, you can try covering it up by using something else in the doujin like a line, liquid, white reflection, etc. Whatever works to trick the eye at normal viewing size, since most people aren't going to view it at 600% zoom in.

Many doujins use the same tones throughout the entire doujin so you can use the sample you created on every page. You can also adjust it a little with the burn and dodge tools if you need it lighter or darker. Though you really need a tablet for that though.

The hardest ones to do are Kensoh Ogawa and for many years I couldn't do it well since the bars are relatively thick, numerous and the tones have a gradient applied to them. I have to use the burn and dodge tools to the tones I apply to get it to blend in right and take some artistic liberties at the same time. In a worst case scenario, I have to remove all the tones from an area, even uncensored portions, just to get something to blend in and not be noticeable without having a side-by-side comparison.

Looking at your sample though it's not that noticeable. I could only see it once I zoom in and what looking for it. Tones tend to be forgiving in that respect.

    2. I'm using more or less the same method, except for the step, I'll try next time, thanks for the advice ;)

I also have to avoid as much as possible redrawing from scrap, since I don't have a tablet and it's hard to get something that blends in completely (at least for my eye).

That's why I try to avoid big opaque bars, sticking to the easy stuff (slightly transparent ot thin ones), for the moment, unless it's something I badly want to decensor... :D

Anyway, thanks for your answers ! I'm looking forward to your next release :)

    3. I was hesitant about using a tablet for years and it took a while to get use to but now I use it on all of my decensors. If you plan on doing this for a while I highly recommend it.
