I removed [Gunma] Love Selection from the list since there is an uncensored, english version. It's reasonably price too on amazon . I encourage everyone who is interested in it to buy it. It's rare enough that someone license hentai manga from a good artist and brings it to us uncensored.
As I was looking closer at [Wata 120 Percent (Menyoujan)] TastYui (ToLOVE-Ru) the images are so dark, image quality is lost. The best I can do is this.
It's certainly an improvement but there is a LOT of dust and the coloring is still a bit off and it took a while to play with different adjustment layers just to get it there. It would be faster just to scan a hard copy and edit that so I'll be waiting probably a week or two for that to arrive.
While I was ordering stuff I figure I'd buy Clesta- orz23 and 24 so those should arrive together so those will be delayed as well until they arrive. Clesta- orz 23 was workable but if I'm buying one doujinshi might as well order a few things because the shipping costs does not go up that much after the first item.
As much as I like to support the artists the majority of the the money goes to couriers services and shipping. I wish more of these doujin artists released high quality digital versions that we could buy directly from them so it would be easier to support them. Though digital versions of doujins that do exist, like from dlsite, often have much worse censoring than hard copy equivalents. *Sigh*
To put some numbers out there for people, my last order with Clesta orz 21 and 22 cost $55 to buy these two doujinshi and the each book was 525 yen or about $13.25 for the two. So that's $41.75 for courier services, Japanese taxes, shipping and handling, and bank fees. One can figure, that out of $13.25 a portion of that goes to the merchant, publisher, and printing costs. Whatever is left over after that goes to the artist, which is probably between $1-$5 for two doujinshi. Cut that number in half for the amount for every one doujinshi. *double sigh*
After $55 and only a few dollars ends up with the artist? That's an ineffective way to support an artist. And people wonder why we scan and pirate the stuff? *double facepalm sigh*
There's only one thing to do to relieve this kind of stress...Decensor! Well, okay maybe two things...
Even though this ended up being a mini-rant, I hope you found it informative since I don't think it's common knowledge.
yeah, that's pretty gay that gayjins can't buy the books that easily. shops like amiami should try to take doujins in the sortiment.

I mostly have bought from http://www.toranoana.jp recently because of their selection. They have a lot and if I can buy from one place I can save on shipping.

I've used amazon.jp for manga in the past but they don't seem to stock doujinshi.
All of them don't ship international. (Amazon.jp doesn't ship out international for adult material, go figure)
One place that does ship internationally and has a website in English is http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/ but I think they are a used book store since they only seem to have older titles and will list the condition of some of their items. I think they have stuff in new condition too but I'm not sure. They are good for stuff that is otherwise out of print, not so much for new stuff. Every time I've bought from them the quality and speed is good. They seem to adjust the prices though depending on rarity, demand, etc. Like for this an older NiseMidiDoronokai doujinshi is 3,000 yen. Normally, new doujinshi are 500-1000 yen. That does NOT include international shipping costs either, so even though they ship internationally it's not any cheaper than having a courier service buy a doujinshi from another merchant for a normal price, if you can find it. So it will be $40-50 for one book regardless.
Your work is absolutely amazing and much appreciated. I'm glad decensoring can be a stress relief for you. It's a bummer that you dump so much money into it and not a lot of it goes to supporting the artist though. Anyways, keep up the fantastic work and I look forward to these upcoming projects!

I think it's possible to uncensor the cg's from game but first they need to be excracted from eroge then unensor then over write them with original ones ( i know is pretty complicated) I know lot good eroges but they are (almost)all censored T_T
It's certainly doable but it's not a preference of mine because there are lot of images, the images tend to be smaller in size and quality compared to doujinshi or manga, and as you mentioned it's an extra step to extract the images and if it is possible to reinsert them I don't know how to. The images by themselves don't really have dialog or a story with it either. So usually I prefer doujinshi, and with so much of it doujinshi keep me busy enough as is.

Of these requests the (C71) [Studio ParM (Kotobuki Utage)] ParM SpeciaL 4 ToNABUru (To LOVE-Ru) is my favorite. I was able to get a copy of both Japanese and English version from ex-hentai.

Yea. I think working with HQ Pictures is easier and more enjoyable than working with LQ pictures. (i want to become artist and make my own manga/comic someday, but now my drawing/sketches are ...well they are not that good :D i,m still training ^_^ so someday ,when i become an artist i like you to read what i draw , someday...) And i think if you want HQ pictures you need to buy own doujin and scan it (with good scaner) or searching rougly in internet :D. I've been decensoring for over ten years. I think I got "good" at it around 2005. At least, I thought it was good enough to start posting it and showing it to others. Back then I didn't even use a tablet lol.

DeleteIt took many hours to get that image as good as I got it. Originally that image was very sloppy and ugly. I've done hundreds of sketches but only a few look that nice. I had to play with it in photoshop and illustrator to get it to that point. I'm sure a more talented artist could do it better in a faction of the time.
I use photoshop for many hours, mostly everyday, for years. Anybody can get good at drawing if they practice everyday. Watching youtube videos tutorials and tracing artists that you like is helpful.
I recommend goddess powers. No need for demon powers. ^_^;

When you say "older stuff" did you have anything else in particular or did you just want me to upload everything? Because if you did that would take a while and you could probably find most of it faster by googling it. ReplyDeleteI try to keep importing down to a minimum because of the costs. In real life I don't earn that much but if something is great and otherwise unavailable or only a low quality version is available then I'm willing to import. Particularly, if I plan to decensor it.
