ReplyDeletehm, now that I look closely, you have to redraw pretty much. question: does decensoring improve your drawing skills? I mean "normal" drawing.

Yes, with mosaic censoring it's basically a re-draw so I try to have fun with it.
DeleteIt does improve my drawing skills for line art. Over the years I have done hundreds of sketches, whenever I feel like it, some of which I'm pretty happy with, even with my picky standards.
I'm still working out a good coloring technique that I'm comfortable with. As well as trying to get more comfortable using the pen tool and using Adobe Illustrator as well so that I can have clean smooth lines like in the higher quality doujinshi. I still have a lot to learn before being that good.
I focus so much time on decensoring though rather than practicing my coloring that the pace that I improve those skills are rather slow. It would be faster just to trace an artist you like until hand learns the motions and watch video tutorials on youtube.
